Burnley to win
After Wednesday night’s brilliant comeback victory over Everton, Sean Dyche will have his Burnley troops fired up for a second relegation six-pointer in a row. Burnley have only lost one of their last four away matches.
Norwich gained a point last weekend against Brighton to end a six-game losing streak. The 0-0 draw was no surprise given both sides’ inability to hit the back of the net. Expect Norwich to fire blanks once again and Burnley to nick it by the odd goal.
Burnley to win to nil
Norwich are the division’s lowest scorers with just 18 goals with ten of these coming on home turf.
For a side in relegation trouble, Burnley have kept a respectable seven clean sheets from 29 games. The Clarets 42 goals conceded is by far the best out of the bottom six sides in the league and rivals the likes of West Ham (40) and Manchester United (41).
Preliminary review and match prediction for Norwich City vs Burnley
Norwich was able to claim a point away to Brighton which on its day is a good result. However, this leaves the Canaries seven points from safety while having played one game more than both Everton and Sunday’s opponents, Burnley.
A defeat here would all but condemn Norwich to the drop with the Canaries’ schedule after this looking unforgiving.
The clean sheet against Brighton will be encouraging, however, it will be a major concern that Burnley managed to put three past Everton.

Burnley, like Norwich, also ended a losing streak as after four defeats in a row they defeated Everton 3-2 after coming back from 2-1 down.
The manner of the comeback pleased boss, Sean Dyche, who’s bullish comments after the match is perhaps indicative of Burnley’s grit and determination to come out of the relegation battle successfully.
Maxwel Cornet who scored the winner and his seventh Premier League goal of the season against Everton will be heavily relied on again. His record of seven in 19 games is respectable, but until midweek he hadn’t scored since 2 January.
Cornet is priced at 2.38 to repeat Wednesday’s heroics with a goal.
Safe Bets
A draw will not do Norwich any favours and after Wednesday’s victory Burnley will want to carry on the momentum against a side cut adrift at the bottom and possibly pull themselves out of the relegation zone dependent on other results.
We have predicted the Burnley win at 2.5, however, if you wanted to play it safer Burnley can instead be backed at 1.73 in the Draw No Bet market, meaning that if the sides played out a draw you would get your money back instead of losing it.
Norwich City vs Burnley Team News
Max Aarons, Brandon Williams, Lukas Rupp, and Przemyslaw Placheta are all doubts for Norwich with Adam Idah, Ozan Kabak and Andrew Omobamidele all confirmed out.
Nathan Collins should keep his place continuing to deputise for Ben Mee, especially after his opening goal on Wednesday. Dyche might possibly stick with a winning team.
Possible Starting Lineups
Norwich City: Krul, Byram, Hanley, Gibson, Giannoulis, Gilmour, Normann, Lees-Melou, McLean, Pukki, Rashica
Burnley: Pope, Roberts, Collins, Tarkowski, Taylor, Lennon, Westwood, Brownhill, Cornet, Weghorst, Rodriguez
Highlighted Player – Maxwel Cornet
The Ivorian is equally adept at playing up front or as a winger and will be crucial to Burnley’s goal scoring hopes with January signing, Wout Weghorst struggling to find his feet in front of goal.
Cornet restored some confidence in netting his first goal since January against Everton and is well placed to build on this against defensively weak opposition.
