Smith downed by former club
Norwich and Dean Smith succumbed to their third loss in a row, and to make matters worse, this was against Smith’s former club Aston Villa.
The 2-0 defeat also represented Norwich’s third loss to nil in a row, highlighting the difficulties the Canaries have in front of goal.
Todd Cantwell started his first match in nearly a month and appears to be getting closer to full fitness after his exile under former boss Daniel Farke.
However, Norwich’s game against West Ham being called off last weekend may have caused a setback in his attempts to get back to match fitness.

Arsenal firing on all cylinders
After struggling in front of goal with just 13 goals in 12 matches, Arsenal have more than doubled their goal scoring tally in just six matches, scoring 14 goals.
It may or may not be coincidence that Arsenal’s goal scoring form got better since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s exile from the squad. Aubameyang was scoreless in his last six league matches, in the three league matches he has been absent from, Arsenal have scored nine goals.
Gabriel Martinelli has been the form man of late, scoring three in his last two league matches, while Emile Smith Rowe has come off the bench to score in two consecutive league matches.
Norwich City vs Arsenal predictions
The honeymoon period is well and truly over for Norwich boss, Smith, they now host one of the form sides in the league with things unlikely to get better anytime soon.
We predict that Arsenal will win this match comfortably.
While we believe Arsenal are likely to win this game to nil, that is priced at 5/4 which is a fair price. However, we prefer Norwich to score under 0.5 goals priced at Evens. This is a similar price, but you only need one thing to happen (Norwich not to score), rather than two things (Norwich not to score and Arsenal to score).
