Match Predict – Handicap (-4) games for Kyrgios

By all accounts, Kyrgios is stronger. Confrontation with Ymer should not be difficult for him. Mikael is already in over his head. I don’t think he’ll be strong enough to take on Nick.

Total Games – Under 22.5

Ymer’s previous matches have ended in three sets, but things should change against Kyrgios. Nick is showing a great game at the moment. He is unlikely to provide many opportunities for Mikael.

Preliminary review and match prediction for Nick Kyrgios vs Mikael Ymer

Nick Kyrgios:

One might have thought that Kyrhios would relax after reaching the Wimbledon final, but so far the exact opposite can be observed.

Kyrgios defeated Francis Tiafoe (6-7, 7-6, 6-2) from Friday night to Saturday. The match turned out to be incredibly difficult, with two tie-breaks. At one point, the tension was tremendous.

Frances had five match points in the second set, but Nick didn’t let him win the match. After this, Tiafoe seemed to have gone psychologically down. In the deciding set, Nick dropped just two games.

Kyrgios also defeated Marcos Giron (6-3, 6-2), Tommy Paul (6-3, 6-4) and Reilly Opelka (7-6, 6-2) this week.

Kyrgios won 25 matches in a season for the first time since 2018. He has also reached the semi-finals at five of his last six tournaments.

Kyrgios has won 9 of his last 10 matches against lower-ranked opponents.

Mikael Ymer:

Ymer, meanwhile, never fails to surprise. Mikael, who started the tournament by beating Andy Murray (7-6, 4-6, 6-1), reached the semi-finals at the ATP level for the second time in the season.

In the quarter-finals, Mikael defeated Sebastian Korda (6-2, 5-7, 6-3). Before that, he defeated Emil Ruusuvuori (6-3, 6-7, 6-4).

Ymer stopped Aslan Karatsev (6-4, 3-6, 6-4) in the second round. In the third set, Aslan gave up an immediate game on his serve and was never able to recover later on.

Despite being ranked 115th, it is worth noting that Mikael reached the final in Winston-Salem a year ago.

Ymer will play his third career semi-final at the ATP level (1-1).

Safe Bets

In four of Ymer’s last six matches, more than 9.5 games have been played in the first set. We offer to bet on “1st Set Games – Over 9.5” with odds of 1.69.
