Fernando Santos’s side lost to South Korea (1-2) in the final round, conceding a second goal minutes before the final whistle.

In the opening knock-out stages, the Portuguese made a mockery of the Swiss national team, beating them with a hat-trick from Gonçalo Ramos (6-1) who is set to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Portugal has two losses ahead of this game. Defender Nuno Mendes and midfielder Danilo Pereira of PSG will definitely not play.
