Matteo Berrettini looking to keep his unbeaten run in nine matches
Matteo Berrettini has kept his form and momentum coming to Wimbledon after the Italian had won the title at the Queen’s Club as a warm-up for this Grand Slam. The world number nine is undefeated on grass this year and his winning streak was extended to nine matches after beating Ilya Ivashka in the fourth round.
Berrettini hasn’t played against a seeded player so far. The Italian lost his only set to Guido Pella in his opening match. This is Matteo’s third participation in Wimbledon. He has never reached the quarter-final before and has a 10-2 win/loss record at The All England Club including the four victories of the current campaign.
Berrettini key stats
- The average games per match played by Berrettini is 30.6 in Wimbledon this year
- 16.7 is the number of aces Berrettini is serving per match

Felix Auger-Aliassime in his first-ever Grand Slam quarter-final
We had written in our previous preview of Aliassime that he is very comfortable on grass and has the ability to beat any top player. He proved that by overcoming Alexander Zverev in the fourth round in great fashion after a marathon five-setter in just over four hours.
The Canadian had won the first two sets taking advantage of Zverev’s horrible serving. The German put pressure on Aliassime in the next two sets and tied the match at two sets each. In the deciding set, Aliassime attacked Zverev’s second serve more aggressively which left the German winning just 21% of the points behind the 2nd serve and broke his opponent’s serve twice to claim the match.
Aliassime Key Stats
- The average games per match played by Aliassime is 35.8 in Wimbledon this year
- 44.8 is the number of winners per match by Aliassime
- The number of times Aliassime’s serve was broken in a match is 2.8
Matteo Berrettinin vs Felix Auger-Aliassime Prediction
Berrettini had a relatively easier path to the quarter-finals in Wimbledon this year. The highest-ranked player he faced in his four matches was Guido Pela who is 59th in his opening match. But that doesn’t take away the fact that the Italian is playing superbly as his stats show.
Aliassime has developed very quickly in recent months and has already beaten Federer in Halle before Wimbledon. The world number 19 is not intimidated by his opponent’s rankings or history but rather focuses on his game and plays very aggressive tennis.
Berrettini is the clear favorite to win with odds of 1.32 at Vbet. We predict each player can win a set in this match if Berrettini’s serve falters. Over 3.5 sets for 1.58 at Vbet seems reasonable and we will back it.
