Manchester City back to winning ways
After a shock loss to Crystal Palace at home and also exiting the Carabao Cup at the hands of West Ham, City are back on form after a 4-1 win against Club Brugge and then a 2-0 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United.
In the early stages of what looks to be a tight title race, Manchester City will see this game against an off-form Everton as a chance to at least keep pace with leaders Chelsea, while also heading off the remains of the top five.
Manchester City face Paris St Germain in midweek in the Champions League so there is the chance that Pep Guardiola will rotate his squad with that in mind.
“They are getting better, but we have to be sure. Doucoure is one or two weeks away. Dominic is at least two-three weeks away.”

Honeymoon period over for Benitez
After starting off his new career on the blue side of Merseyside with three league wins and a draw, Benitez and Everton have only gained a further five points from a possible 21, with no wins in their last five.
Things won’t get any easier for the Blues with games against Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea on the horizon.
If there is ever a good time to play against City, it would be a few days before a big Champions League tie as is the situation now.
Manchester City vs Everton predictions
With Everton on such as poor run of form, the only saving grace could be the possibility of Guardiola rotating his side with a big European night coming on Wednesday.
However, as we’ve seen time and time again, City have a squad capable of handling all competitions and we believe they will handle Everton. Odds of 1/6 though probably won’t cut it for most of us, so we need to find some value somewhere.
City have only conceded two goals at home so far this season, four of their five home matches have resulted in clean sheets, while Everton have scored just six away goals and star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains on the sidelines. This combined with City’s general good form over Everton means Man City to win to nil is recommended.
Due to his usual good form against Everton, we recommend backing Gabriel Jesus to score anytime.
