Liverpool to win to nil

Liverpool have won their last nine league games in a row conceding just two goals along the way. Seven of these games have been won to nil and Liverpool have conceded just seven home goals in 14 league matches this season.

Liverpool to score in both halves

Liverpool have scored in both halves of a league match in 18 of their 29 games played. They have balanced their scoring out with 36 goals in first halves and 39 goals in second halves.

The Reds face a Watford side who have conceded 12 goals in their last six matches and have been on the end of heavy recent defeats to Wolves and Crystal Palace.

Eighteenth placed Watford are currently three points away from safety but having played two more games than 17th placed Everton.

Before the international break Watford won away to Southampton, recording their first win in five matches.

Prior to that though Watford suffered some heavy defeats and in the league this season only Norwich City and Leeds United have conceded more goals than Watford’s 55.

The Hornets will be hoping Mohamed Salah has a hangover from his World Cup qualification disappointment and that they can capitalise.

Salah to score anytime is priced at 1.53. The Egyptian has scored nine goals in seven league matches against Watford which is his joint highest tally against any team. He has also scored four goals in his last five Premier League matches.

Liverpool’s Salah and Sadio Mane both played extra-time and penalties in their match on Tuesday night for their respective nations and will need to be assessed. South Americans Luis Diaz, Fabinho and Alisson have long trips back to the UK and with tougher matches coming up Klopp may have to decide whether to risk these players.

Trent Alexander-Arnold misses out, however, Andy Robertson and James Milner will both be available after Covid.

Watford could go unchanged from their win over Southampton. Josh King will be full of confidence after his hat-trick for Norway in midweek and may be pushing for a start here.
