Liverpool – Villarreal. Gabriele Marcotti’s prediction
Liverpool are firm favorites here, despite losing the first leg 1-0. Jurgen Klopp rested plenty at the weekend and you’d have to assume that he has a clear plan for the return leg. Equally, Villarreal can be spiky and defend well. In fact, the bookies have been generous on the total goals markets. Too generous, in my opinion. Liverpool have to attack and with the attacking players at their disposal you wouldn’t bet against them being a real threat, but I’m not sure they’re that good defensively and will likely leave themselves open, as we’ve seen already seen countless times this season. Overall it’s hard to look past see goals here, so back over 2.5 goals at 2.15.
