Leicester struggling for players
Leicester looked like they were going on a mini revival after the return of James Maddison in late November.
However, they’ve since drawn with Southampton and lost to Aston Villa (both games away from home).
Leicester are missing as many as 10 players due to injury, Covid or non-Covid illness. However, unlike Spurs, they did play in the Europa League on Thursday and at time of writing look set to play this fixture.

Toon finally off the mark
It took 15 games, but Newcastle finally won a Premier League match as they dispatched Burnley 1-0 thanks to Callum Wilson’s 40th minute goal.
Newcastle was unlucky not to win in their previous match against Norwich and may feel confident they are finally turning a corner.
With Leicester’s injury/illness problems there may be no better time for Newcastle to face Leicester before embarking on an unforgiving schedule from then and into the Christmas period.
Leicester City vs Newcastle United predictions
A full-strength Leicester should be able to win this one comfortably, however, the Foxes haven’t been on the best form of late and have a lengthy list of absentees.
It is hard to back either side due to the variables, however, both sides are at the bottom of the league when it comes to conceding goals. In ten of their last 13 matches Newcastle have scored at least one goal and Leicester are also more than capable of hitting the back of the net. Both teams to score is 8/13.
Despite their lowly position Newcastle have scored first in 47% of their matches. Striker Callum Wilson has scored six league goals, five of these have been the first goal. William Hill is currently offering him to score first at a boosted price of 5/1 while guaranteeing top price.
