Granada vs Alaves: Predictions and Betting Tips
Key Stats:
- One win, one draw, and three defeats for Granada in their last five games at Nuevo Los Carmenes Stadium
- Granada have conceded ten goals in their last five home games
- One win, two draws, and two defeats for Alaves in their last five away games
- Four consecutive games conceding at least one goal for Alaves
Granada
After securing a valuable draw in their last match against a very tough opponent, Athletic Bilbao, Granada face a new match sitting very close to the relegation places, with only one point ahead of them.
Granada are struggling at home, which in theory should be their main source of points, and in six games played at the Nuevo Los Carmenes Stadium, they have won just once, drawn twice and lost three times. Last season Granada were the eighth best home side, which seems a long way from the results of this season.
Granada and Alaves have faced each other only three times in the city of Granada, all of them in the last four years. In all three meetings, the Andalusian team won.
Alaves
Alaves’ unbeaten run (three wins and two draws) came to an end in their last match, at home, to Celta Vigo. The defeat was especially painful, given that it was played on their home ground and against opponents who are currently fighting for the same thing as them – to stay in the league.
All of Alavés’ five away points have come in their last three away games, with one win and two draws. These were not easy games, as the draws were against Sevilla and Barcelona and the win against Cadiz, another direct rival.
With only 11 goals in 14 games, Alaves still have one of the lowest goal-scoring averages among all teams, with an average of 0.79 goals per game.
Granada vs Alaves Predictions
The two teams are in a very similar situation: Granada are not very good at home, nor Alaves away (although they have had a clear improvement in this respect). Granada go into this match with a lot of important players injured (Rubén Rochina, Germán Sánchez, Victor Diaz, Darwin Machis, Luis Milla and Domingos Duarte), which we think will balance the match even more, so this match could well end in a draw.
