Everton
Carlo Ancelotti is more than happy with his team’s current form. The Italian did a great job taking the merseysiders back to within two points of their city rivals Liverpool with the latter still to play against West Brom on Sunday. The Toffees are unbeaten at home in their last two matches and haven’t beaten the Citizens in their last six matches.Their matches haven’t seen too many goals but 12 points from four games is a perfect response to a rough period from mid october to early november.
Manchester City
The Citizens have the best defensive record in the English Premier League with 12 goals conceded in 14 games.Pep Guardiola’s defence allowed their opponents to score just two goals in their last six games with four clean sheets. The Spaniards is missing two key players in Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus but he has good depth in his squad to overcome it.
Verdict
Everton have scored in all their last five matches and City have scored in their last 3 matches.
Verdict: Both teams to score.
