Chelsea maintained their assault on three fronts in midweek when they eased to a 1-0 win over Malmo in the Champions League – a victory that followed hot on the heels of another at Newcastle last weekend (3-0).
The Blues are the early pace-setters in the Premier League thanks to a superb haul of eight wins from their first ten assignments of the campaign and Chelsea are understandably odds-on favourites to put another three points on the board at Burnley’s expense on Saturday.
Thomas Tuchel claimed his first win as Blues boss back in January against the Clarets and he has reworked a Chelsea team that were flaky under previous boss Frank Lampard into one of Europe’s most impressive outfits.

Burnley finally ended their lengthy wait for a first Premier League victory of the season last weekend with a fine 3-1 triumph at home to a much-lauded Brentford side at Turf Moor.
Sean Dyche’s perennial party-poopers love nothing more than denting the reputation of flavour of the month teams and sides with burgeoning reputations, though they could struggle to repeat the trick at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Clarets have lost six of their last seven league encounters with Chelsea and they failed to find the net both home and away against the title hopefuls last term.

With a superb seven clean sheets in ten Premier League fixtures, Chelsea have been the division’s most robust outfit this season and on Saturday, the Blues will be aiming to secure their sixth shutout in seven matches in all competitions.
Burnley were unable to lay a glove against Tuchel’s Chelsea last term and the Londoners beat the Clarets to nil at Stamford Bridge and at Turf Moor in the closing months of the campaign.
Chelsea’s defensive strength could be worth backing again on Saturday where a home win to nil jumps off the page at 1.85 in the markets, while taking the hosts in the half time result market also appeals at 1.67.
Chelsea have been in front at the interval in four of their five Premier League home matches this season and they have the confidence and quality to get their noses in front early again when Burnley visit the capital.

Romelu Lukaku, Mateo Kovacic and Timo Werner remain sidelined for Chelsea while Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante are considered doubtful. Christian Pulisic is in line to return to the team however following his appearance against Malmo in midweek.

Dale Stephens is Burnley’s only confirmed absentee this weekend, though keeper Wayne Hennesssey is rated as a doubt. Sean Dyche could name the same XI that performed so well against Brentford last week.
