Belgium looking for a maiden continental trophy
Despite being the number one ranked national team in the world for three years, Belgium haven’t won any major trophies. In fact, the Red Devils’ best achievement was finishing second in the Euro 1980. Remarkably Belgium was ranked 71st in the world in 2007. Hence they came a long way in this decade on the international level.
However, it was a disappointing Euro 2020 campaign as they were outplayed by eventual champions Italy. That was in the quarter-finals as coach Roberto Martinez’s team left the competition earlier than expected. Since then, the Red Devils won three World Cup qualifiers and are looking forward to their first international trophy.
Belgium Key Stats
- Belgium won eight of their last ten matches
- The Red Devils scored in all of their last ten matches
- Martinez’s team had six clean sheets in the last ten matches

France hoping to maintain their last match’s form
France are not in their usual top form recently as they won just one of their last six matches. Moreover, Les Bleus were eliminated ion penalties in the round of 16 at Euro 2020 by Switzerland. Notably, they played three matches after that in the World Cup qualifications, drawing twice and winning just once.
In their last match against Finland in the WCQ, France found their form back and completely dominated the match. With 20 goal attempts and 64% ball possession Didier Deschamp’s men need to be at a similar form if they want to challenge one of the best teams in Europe at the moment.
France Key Stats
- France are undefeated in 14 matches (excluding on penalties)
- Les Bleus scored in all of their last 14 matches
- The last ten matches of France saw on average 2.6 goals per match
Belgium vs France Prediction
The bookies are favoring France slightly to qualify from this semi-final with odds of 1.76 at Vbet. The reason for that might be France’s better form recently and the fact that they are the world champions.
However, Deschamps’ team haven’t performed as world champions in their WCQ games. Just draws against Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina were played poorly.
On the other hand, Belgium look very sharp scoring nine goals in three games. Hence we think for this match we will back both teams to score as both teams have very strong attacking forces.
Belgium vs France Betting Tips
Both Teams To Score Yes 1.89 at Vbet
1 or 2 and Under 3.5 Goals 1.68 at Vbet
