Another sensation from Muсhova?

Muсhova will play for the first time in her career in the semifinals at the Grand Slam tournament.  Her performance at the Australian Open is like a Hollywood blockbuster.

In the third round, Mukhova defeated compatriot Karolina Plishkova in an incredible match – 7:5, 7:5.  In the second set, she was losing 0-5, but somehow she won seven games in a row.

Had to recoup in the match against Elise Mertens.  In the first set, Mukhova gave up two games on her serve but still managed to take the set.

And in the quarterfinals, the Czech tennis player did the almost impossible. Muchova beat Ashleigh Barty.  The Australian easily won the first set – 6:1, immediately made a break in the second – and this is where the turning point happened. Karolina asked for a medical time-out, after which Barty made five times more unforced errors than before it – 31 to six.  And Muchova sensationally went into the semifinals of the Australian Open.

Meanwhile, Brady advanced to the semi-finals for the second time at the Grand Slam tournament. Thanks to this, she will be in the top 20 for the first time.

At the US Open 2020, she lost to future champion Naomi Osaka in three sets at this stage.

Before the quarterfinals, Brady had no problems at all.  The American won in two sets against Aliona Bolsova, Madison Brengle, Kaja Juvan, and Donna Vekic.

In the quarter-finals, Brady defeated compatriot Jessica Pegula.  Jennifer lost the first set, but after that, she confidently took two sets, in which she gave her opponent only three games.

Bookmakers offer to bet on Mukhova for 2.6, and on Brady’s victory – for 1.5.

Muchova has already beaten Brady once, it was at a clay tournament in Prague.  But it is not necessary to attach much importance to this victory.  The soil is not the most favorite coating of Brady. And yet there is a feeling that Muchova will now surprise Brady on hard.  From previous matches, one can easily conclude that Mukhova is capable of beating anyone.
