Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t ruled himself out of managing Manchester United in the future.

Mauricio Pochettino still believes he can be the manager of Manchester United in the future, insisting that it’s ‘just a matter of timing’.

Pochettino was one of the top favourites to replace Jose Mourinho in 2018 while he was still the manager of Tottenham at the time but the chance flew by when the Red Devils appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their interim manager, who would go on to become the permanent boss after some brilliant results.

Pochettino joined PSG in 2021 after he was sacked by Tottenham in 2019 and while he was at Parc des Princes, he was still linked with a move to replace the sacked boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the French club reportedly refused the Argentine boss to leave halfway through the season.

The former Spurs manager is currently without a club after he was relieved of his duties as PSG boss in July.

Pochettino still believes he can still be the manager of Manchester United, who were somewhat linked with him every time they are in need of a coach.

Speaking to Radio MARCA, the former PSG boss said when asked for his thoughts on becoming the Manchester United boss in the future: “Football is timing. It’s the moments for it to coincide and for that marriage to happen. Sometimes it’s just a matter of timing. I don’t believe that trains pass just once.”
