Manchester United have received a fresh Marcus Rashford boost after the forward was seen arriving at Carrington on Friday ahead of the Manchester City clash

Manchester United could be with Marcus Rashford in their travelling squad against Manchester City after the forward was seen arriving at Carrington on Friday.

The Man United forward has missed the last two games against Real Sociedad and Sheriff Tiraspol due to an injury he sustained against Arsenal earlier this month.

The England international was also not called up to the England squad that lost 1-0 to Italy and drew 3-3 against Germany in the UEFA Nations League as a result of his injury.

After he wasn’t seen in Manchester United’s training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, many outlets described the 24-year-old as a doubt for what is expected to be the first Manchester derby of the season.

However, MEN have reported that the Manchester United academy graduate could be in Erik ten Hag’s squad for the derby after he was seen arriving at Carrington on Friday morning.

Rashford won the Premier League Player of the Month award for September after scoring twice and providing two assists in two league matches against Leicester City and Arsenal.

The forward is obviously a vital member in Ten Hag’s squad and his absence would thwart whatever chances United had to upset Manchester City on Sunday.

Speaking after winning the Premier League award, he told PL: “It’s still fairly new with the manager and we’ve got much better at doing the things he wants us to. But there are still a lot of steps to take and we’re all looking forward to doing that together.

“My favourite moment of September was an assist actually! Antony’s first goal, on his debut. It was a massive moment and it gives us strength and courage, and seeing him come into the team and score right away is massively important.”

In addition; Anthony Martial has not returned to training and he’s still recovering from a calf injury he suffered against Liverpool in August.
