Major update emerges on Novak Djokovic’s participation on Australian Open 2023
Novak Djokovic couldn’t participate in the Australian Open 2022 due to his COVID-19 vaccine status, however, it has been confirmed today that he will be able to participate in next year’s event.
It was confirmed on Monday, that Djokovic will be allowed to compete in AUS Open next year after his three-year ban was overturned.
Djokovic will be granted a visa to compete in the 2023 Open, after his previous visa was cancelled just days before this year's event over his COVID-19 vaccine status.

Before 2022, Djokovic won the Australian Open three years in a row (2019, 2020, 2021). He overall has 9 AUS Open wins.
In ATP Rankings, Djokovic is currently ranked 8th.
