Just In: Chelsea Make Early Recall For Star Man After Tumultuous Loan Spell

The Blues have recalled 20-year-old goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom from a loan spell at Peterborough.

Bergstrom has endured a rough season in the League One, with a string of errors leaving Peterborough outside the play-off places, conceding more goals than all of the sides above them and Wycombe one place below.

Earlier this season, the 20-year-old recorded some decent outings, keeping four clean-sheets in the first eleven games, but has been unable to add another for the past ten games.

Now though, he will be focusing on whatever Chelsea career he has possible as he re-joins training.

He has at least been seen with the first team, where there will no doubt be an opportunity to learn from current stars Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy.

The Spain international is fresh off a man of the match performance against Crystal Palace, as the Blues returned to winning ways against Crystal Palace.

There have been rumors that the club are looking to strengthen their goalkeeper position, with fingers definitely being pointed at both options at times this season for goals conceded.

They have been linked with a move for Brentford’s David Raya, who has attracted interest from many top premier league sides.

With the rumored cut-price value that he could be available for, it looks a smart and obvious acquisition to be made at Stamford Bridge.
