Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho commented on the defeat in the match of the 21st round of the English Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion (0: 1). In the previous round, Spurs lost to Liverpool (1: 3).

“We didn’t start well.  Brighton could have scored immediately, but hit the post. It was more of the same when they scored the goal. In the first half, it seemed to me that the team was sad because of the missed goal and the situation and it was connected with the lack of energy. In the last 25-30 minutes, they gave their best, but, of course, with some limitations.  We could not score and, in addition, gave the opponent the opportunity to counterattack.

In the second half, the guys showed a good mood and tried to fight their sadness.  They tried hard, so I can’t say anything bad about them.  I still have positive thoughts about the players.  We tried all the options, but the opponent repulsed all the attacks” BBC quoted Mourinho.

Now the team is in 6-th place with 33 points, 11 points behind City.

The odds that Tottenham will finish in TOP-4 are 3.0.
