Guardiola Makes Brutal Haaland Assessment Following 4th EPL Hatrick

Erling Haaland is doing the task asked of him at city and fan talks won’t affect the Manager’s decision.

In a recent press conference, Pep Guardiola admitted that he knows Erling Haaland will always be viewed as either Manchester City’s biggest solution or problem, and that everything will revolve around how the City uses the Norwegian man’s instincts to their advantage.

The Norwegian man has been more than brilliant for City this season, but after a couple of back-to-back losses and the star man failing to score criticisms started.

The city players were criticized as a result of change in the club’s build-up process and a rush to get the ball to the Norwegian striker, which some saw as a flaw in City’s playing style.

It might have sounded true after Kevin de Bruyne and the pair tried to build a connection to get quick goals for City, but it backfire. But, of course, it’s Harland and he went on to shatter all criticism with a stunning 14-minutes Hatrick against the Wolves on Sunday.

Haaland’s three goals on Sunday brought his season total to 31 and his Premier League total to 25. This also helped the team earn three more Premier League points as they try to catch Arsenal. This is the Norwegian’s fourth hat-trick of the season, and it comes after speculation about his impact on the team’s play in recent weeks.

Guardiola has been open about the changes that are required for the team to play with Haaland, as well as how the player will do well to avoid injuries or a drop in form over the course of a season. The City manager is aware of how their performances will be evaluated, but is pleased with how the No.9 has responded.

Guardiola explained how some criticism of a player’s hard work is unnecessary. He explained how the player is always to blame for the team’s success or failure, but he is unconcerned because the player is performing the required task. He said:

“When we lost the Community Shield vs Liverpool, all the debate before West Ham was he wouldn’t adapt to the Premier League. He scored I don’t know how many hat-tricks and he’s the solution for everything,When he doesn’t score he’s the problem. He is not a guy who is going to take the ball 10 metres behind the box, dribble two or three and score a goal. It’s not a possibility.”

“He has to get the balls being delivered as much as possible, we have fantastic players around him. But the first goal is because he is there and the ball from Kevin is fantastic. Always I believe, we know each other, he lives 24 hours for his job, his passion, his love. He does not stress much when it is going well or bad.” He added.

“He’s stable. He feels the defeats. It’s really good. The numbers are incredible. I didn’t know it but this many goals in the first game of the second leg [second half of the season] he’s already scored. But the reality is still we are behind a bit longer to Arsenal.” He concluded

In order to cut the gap on the league leaders, who are 8 points ahead of the blues, the manager will be trying to get the most out of his wonder striker, who appears to be incredibly eager for goals.
