Fulham are closing in on completing the loan signing of Arsenal’s right back Cedric Soares as the Marco Silva led team are looking to finish strongly in the Premier league.

Fulham FC is set to bolster its defense with the loan signing of Arsenal defender, Cedric Soares. The Portuguese full-back is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Craven Cottage until the end of the season, according to sources close to the club.

The loan deal is said to be a straightforward one, with no option to buy included. Manager Marco Silva will be pleased with the acquisition, having previously worked with Cedric at Sporting Lisbon. With limited options at right-back, the Arsenal defender will provide valuable cover and competition for the team.

Fulham, currently sitting in the top half of the Premier League table, will hope that Cedric’s experience will aid in their efforts to retain their top-flight status.

Since joining Arsenal from Southampton in 2020, the defender has made 59 appearances in all competitions, contributing to seven goals.

This move will give Fulham and Cedric a chance to gain some more playing time and help him to get back to his best form. The loan move also gives Arsenal the chance to offload a player who has not been in their first team plans and it will also help them to free up some space in the salary bill.
