Chelsea suffer injury blow as Edouard Mendy withdraws from Senegal squad

Chelsea have suffered an injury blow as Edouard Mendy has withdrawn from the Senegal squad.

Eduard Mendy has reportedly rejected Chelsea's first contract offer

Mendy has returned to England early from international duty as he has suffered a recurring knee injury, as per Metro.

The goalkeeper suffered the injury at the end of Chelsea’s 2-1 win over West Ham.

Senegal are preparing to face Bolivia and Iran in international friendlies on September 24 and September 27, respectively.

It is yet unknown when the goalkeeper will make his return, however, he could be fit for the Blues first game back against Crystal Palace after the international break on October 1st.
