Chelsea are said to be ready to break the bank to secure the signing of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, who they have been long interested in.

According to the Sun , Chelsea is showing significant interest in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, with reports suggesting that the Blues are willing to make a big-money offer to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.

The English midfielder, who was released from Chelsea’s academy at the age of 14, has had a standout season with the Hammers and looks set to depart the club at the end of the campaign.

While Rice is believed to be at the top of Chelsea’s wishlist, the club is also said to be exploring other options in the midfield.

Yesterday, it was reported that Chelsea’s first bid for Moises Caicedo of Independiente del Valle was rejected, and there are also rumors that the Blues are still considering a move for Enzo Fernandez of Benfica.

Chelsea has already been active in the transfer window this month, with the additions of Mykhailo Mudryk and Benoit Badiashile for big-money, and the loan signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid. Badiashile has already made his debut for the club and impressed, and Felix is expected to return from suspension and play a big role for Chelsea in the upcoming matches.

The Blues will need to act fast if they are willing to land their man as reports also claim that Mikel Arteta is heavily interested in landing Declan Rice.
