Arsenal are interested in signing Real Valladolid’s 18 year old right back Ivan Fresneda and are looking to table a bid of €20M for the young Spainish defender.

According to recent reports, Premier League club Arsenal are said to be at the front of the race to secure the signature of highly-rated Real Valladolid defender Ivan Fresneda.

The 18-year-old has already made a name for himself in Spain, breaking into the first team at Valladolid and catching the eye of several top clubs including Juventus, Dortmund and Premier league side Newcastle.

Tuttojuve has stated that Arsenal are leading the charge for Fresneda, with the club looking to make a move for the young defender as soon as possible. The Gunners are said to be willing to make a substantial offer, with reports suggesting they could put forward a bid of €20million (£17.5million) to beat off competition from other suitors especially Newcastle.

Fresneda’s emergence as a first-team regular at Valladolid has not gone unnoticed, and with Arsenal potentially in need of a right-back as Fulham seem to be closing down on Cedric Soares, it’s no surprise to see the club linked with the young defender.

The North London side will be hoping to replicate the success they had a decade ago when they signed Hector Bellerin from Barcelona’s academy.
