Jakub Kiwior’s agent has confirmed that his client will officially sign for Arsenal on Monday or Tuesday.

According to his agent, Jakub Kiwior’s transfer to Arsenal from Spezia Calcio is nearing completion as he confirms  the player will sign for Arsenal on Monday or Tuesday. The deal, which is expected to cost between €20-25m, will see the Polish defender sign a contract with the London club until 2028.

“Jakub will sign on Monday or Tuesday for Arsenal,” the agent told, adding: “He will be in VIP Box for the game vs United.”

Despite the news only breaking in recent days, it is believed that the transfer has been in the works for several weeks, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly speaking with Kiwior before the start of the year.

“Just before New Year’s Eve, he had a telephone conversation with Mikel Arteta, who told about many details, presented a plan for him and what the road to playing may look like. The player was enchanted.”

Kiwior, who can also play at left-back or in midfield, was spotted at London Colney on Saturday, finalizing his move and meeting with his new teammates.

He made his international debut for Poland last June and has started every game for his country since then, including four starts at the World Cup.

The 6’2″ defender had been under contract with Spezia until 2025, joining them in 2021 and making 20 appearances for the Serie A club this season.

The transfer had been reported to be of interest to other top Italian clubs like Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan.
